Wellington Education Group

Wellington Education Group provides a shared sign-in service for its online learning websites. These services include exam preparation, practice questions, and language learning. Learners use Google sign-in to create or access an account on the participating education website. Its Google sign-in feature identifies learners so they can create an account or return to an existing account without creating another password.

Google permissions requested

The learning-account sign-in feature requests openid, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email, and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile. These permissions identify your Google account and provide your email address and basic profile. They are used to sign you in to the learning service you selected.

What the application does

How Google sign-in works

When you choose Google sign-in in a participating learning service, Google asks you to choose an account and authorize the information shown on its consent screen. The service receives basic identity information to create or access your account. Google handles your Google password; Wellington Education Group does not receive it.

The purpose of this Google connection is account authentication. It does not require access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive documents, contacts, or calendars.

Public application information

This homepage, the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Service are public. No sign-in or Google authorization is needed to read them.
